Welcome Brody Nicholas Peterson!

Kayla went to a routine doctor’s appointment on Tuesday November 3rd to get her weekly check-up when the doctor told her that she'd better go home and pick me up cause she was about to have a baby. Kayla came and picked me up and we gathered a few essential items and headed for Banner Desert Hospital. She was admitted into triage at around noon and she was transferred to labor and delivery where she went into labor at 2:00pm. Kayla’s labor continued until 2:00am Wednesday morning. At this point she had been in labor for 12 hours and pushing for 4 hours and Brody just seemed stuck. He was predicted to be a 9 lb baby and they didn't think he'd fit. Another complication was that he was upside down (not breach). The doctor finally made the decision to deliver Brody by cesarean. Kayla was rolled into the operating room where another doctor joined hers, along with a large crew of nurses and Brody entered this world. Brody weighed one ounce shy of nine pounds!
